Evaluation of magazine titles



· The name is ‘Kerrang’ onomatopoeia; it is a sound of a guitar being strung. This indicates it’s a music magazine.

· The target audience is for people aged around 14-25 that have an interest in rock music. E.g. punk, emo, metal.

· The tattered and worn out letters replicate the clothing of the target audience.

· The letters are dark replicating the dark audiences clothing and persona





· Target audience is 13-25 year olds that listen to hip hop or rnb.

· The title gives the impression of really big.

· The title’s house style is red and white allows the name to stand out.







· The target audience is late twenties to 45 who listen to pop or indie music.

· ‘Q’ could symbolise a lot of meanings.

· More of intelligent magazine. (in depth interviews)





· NME’s target audience is about 16 to late twenties who listen to mainly pop and indie music.

· NME (New Musical Express) sounds like ‘enemy
